The operation to neutralise the terrorists involved in the encounter that led to the killing of four security forces personnel continued for the second day on Thursday as the police claimed to have "encircled" two Lashkar-e-Tayiba terrorists in the higher reaches of Anantnag district of south Kashmir.
The encounter broke out after the terrorists opened fire at the search party personnel, who retaliated, the officials said.
A soldier who was reported missing since Thursday, has lost his life in the encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag, officials said. "One more soldier has lost his life in the Anantnag operations. He had been reported missing since yesterday," security officials said.
